Braun Bryant is the Postmaster for the United States Post Office in Prairie View is the speaker for the monthly Men's Prayer Breakfast at St. Francis of Assisi Episcopal Church, set for Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 8:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m. in the Parish Hall the church on 204 Dooley Street. Mr. Bryant became the first man named Postmaster for the United States Post Office in Prairie View in spring 2018. He is a native Houstonian and is a graduate of James Madison High School and earned an Associate Degree in Business from the University of Houston. He is a Licensed Worker's Comp Adjuster and a Licensed Real Estate Agent. Prior to joining the Postal Service, Mr. Bryant worked as a Worker's Compensation Insurance Adjuster for The University of Texas. In this position he was responsible for ensuring that the employee’s rights were respected and the employer’s rights were protected, and that the employee received appropriate and adequate compensation for claims against the company’s insurance.
Mr. Bryant has more than twenty-seven years of service with the United States Postal Service. He began his employment with the Post Office in 1997, and over the years has served as a Postal Supervisor and a Manager at various stations throughout the Houston District from east to west and north to south, and whatever area in between that need his service.

St. Francis of Assisi Episcopal Church had its beginning in 1939 when a group of Episcopal Church members at Prairie View A. & M. College met and decided to start an Episcopal congregation in Prairie View. Miss Maude Ernestine Suarez, Dean of Women led the group in starting a chaplaincy and congregation. In 1950 St. Francis of Assisi Mission Congregation was born, with Reverend James Murray as Vicar. In 1991 St. Francis of Assisi became a Parish with Rev. Earlie Clemens, Sr. as Rector.
